- Is the vacuum plating durable?
Yes, If used for decorative indoor purposes,
a vacuum plated part can look good for at least five years maybe
more.
- How thick is the plating?
The Vacuum plating is an application of
0.03 millions of Aluminum on a surface protected by a coat of
Lacquer so very thin, but durable for the lacquer is cooked
prior to the vacuum plating process.
- Is the plating smooth as chrome on metal?
Our process does not cover imperfections,
so if the part is clean and smooth, it will still be after plating.
- Why is there dust on your parts?
We admit that the vacuum process is not
a dust free operation. We are still trying to find a way of
getting all parts free of dust, but aside from that fact we
still try to offer our best quality plating to all our customers.
- Can you plate parts that have been previously painted?
If the parts have been stripped and
polished, we can.
